TRAVEL TEAM PLAY

At the conclusion of rec season play each year, LCBSA forms "travel teams."  We conduct try-outs for interested players, and coaches and Softball Board Members select "All Star" teams.  Depending on the level of interest and coaching, we may form more than one team in a Division.  These travel teams represent LCBSA in softball play throughout the summer.

Travel team play offers a much greater challenge than rec season play.  Practices are geared towards advanced play and introduce more of the game of softball to the girls.  Teams play in tournaments throughout Southern California against some of the best softball programs in Southern California.

Beyond developing softball skills, travel team play offers girls an opportunity to challenge themselves, build character and make lasting friendships - indeed, pool time during tournament weekends is an often-cited highlight for our players and families.

We encourage all girls with a drive for softball to try out and participate.  If you have questions, please reach out to your coach, Division GM or any LCBSA Softball Board Member.
